I've been reading a lot lately about marketing and promotion--hence the new blog and Twitter accounts, oh, and even a Facebook page (links to the right). Continuing the push from NaNoWriMo and my regained motivation, it's time to get serious again, which means figuring out this marketing and promotion stuff. I keep reading how important it is to have an online presence by the time you're ready to publish.
I've always been terrible at keeping up on this stuff. I'm hoping you'll get more consistency out of this time, but I'm not making any promises. ;-) I think that's why I like Twitter so much. I can keep up in 140 characters. A blog has to be more than a paragraph. Or else why read it, right? It's seems every time I sit down to write a new post, I blaze through the first paragraph and then come to a screeching halt. My brain fizzles out and bam, my idea turns into a fleeting memory.
Like just now. At least I made it two paragraphs. It has been a very long day and I am really tired. So, for sake of consistently, I'll leave you here with this fairly boring blog. My first "new" blog--geesh. Oh well. Hope you stay tuned. I'll try for more engaging posts in the future, and will be sure not to blog right before bed when I'm exhausted.
